A magnificent antique Victorian walnut ottoman stool with upholstered top. The lid has been newly reupholstered with horsehair and lifts up to revel its original lined interior and a brass lock stamped “John Shaw and Sons Wolverhampton” (no key). A good quality piece constructed in beautifully figured walnut with scratch carved decoration and standing on brass and ceramic casters. Would make a wonderful ottoman, bedroom seat or music stool. Dating from circa 1880.
