Product Description
A magnificent antique Edwardian side chair in satin walnut with carved rams head back. The rams head carved back meets the top rail with carved horns and are surrounded by carved acanthus leaves with carved and pierced ovals below and further acanthus leaf carving to the bottom of the rails. The side rails are decorated in satinwood crossbanding and ebony stringing along with the legs and seat rails. It has been newly reupholstered in a golden heavy brocade fabric. This chair is more suited as decorative side or hall chairs rather than a chair for heavy use.

It has a number of splits and old mends to the veneers (see photos). Certainly more of a decorative chair and suits occasional use rather than heavy use. The frame is solid and the seat has been newly reupholstered.
