Product Description
A very decorative pair of antique French giltwood side chairs in Louis XVI style dating from circa 1870. In gilt-walnut with carved cresting rails, fluted uprights, acanthus carved tapered legs and upholstered stuff-over seats and upholstered backs. The chairs have some give to the joints and are more suited to being decorative side or bedroom chairs rather than dining chairs. The upholstery has a few small marks and stains, but otherwise ok.

A few small old worm holes which have been treated with worm killer as a precaution. And old split to the top of the finials of one of the chairs, which has been glued.
