Product Description
A superb quality set of 4 antique Regency chairs in beautifully figured mahogany dating from circa 1820. A design very much inspired by the Klismos chair, with unusual indented backs. The backs carved with acanthus leaves, with fan shaped cresting rails and standing on twist turned front legs and sabre legs to the back. The seat rail is also carved with acanthus leaves, the upholstered seats have been newly recovered. Solid and sturdy, although a few old mends to the backs to one of the chairs which also has a little movement to the frame (see photos). Beautiful patina and figured to the mahogany of these handsome chairs. 1 chair is slightly different; the legs are a slighly different design and the back is slightly taller.

Beautiful colour and patina to the mahogany. 3 chairs solid and sturdy. 1 chair some slight movement and old mends to the back (see photos). Wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly recovered over existing upholstery which is sound.
