Product Description
A magnificent tall antique Victorian gothic revival chair in carved oak dating from circa 1860. In a design which takes its influence from the 17th Century chairs of Daniel Marot. The back is ornately carved, the side rails turned and topped with finials, the upholstered seat supported on twisted and block legs with H-stretchers, with a central vertical carved rail. It has been newly recovered in a self patterned cream fabric. Very solid and sturdy, with old mends and splits to the backs of the chairs.
