A magnificent antique late Victorian mahogany open armchair dating from circa 1895. In a Sheraton revival design with stringing to the legs, arms and front seat rail along with inlay back splat and top rail. The back has a pinched waist, it features serpentine arm supports and it stands on tapered legs. It has been newly recovered in a light grey/mushroom fabric. A comfortable and well-proportioned elegant piece that would make a great bedroom dressing table chair or desk chair.
