A magnificent antique Victorian balloon back chair in beautifully figured walnut with padded back dating from circa 1860. A really good quality chair really well carved, it has a floral carved and shaped top rail with an upholstered oval shaped back. It stands on carved and shaped cabriole legs with shell carving to the knees and scroll feet. It has been recently recovered, solid and sturdy and in good original condition. Would make a wonderful desk chair or bedroom chair. With makers Stamp “G.Jackson” and number stamped to the inside of the leg.
