A magnificent antique William IV rosewood dining room pedestal cabinet dating from circa 1835. The mottled white marble top above a door with a pylon-shaped panel within columns on a reel-moulded plinth and ball feet. With working lock and key it has a a central shelf to the interior with a slide out drawer above. A stunning early 19th century piece in beautifully figured rosewood veneers with Greek revival influences, it would make a beautiful side cabinet, TV unit, bookcase or hall cupboard.
General wear and marks commensurate with age. Some slight cracking and lifting of the veneers in places. A split along the base which has been filled with wax (see photos).
