A charming harlequin set 6 antique country chairs dating from circa late 18th to early 19th Century. Each chair with pierced shield back, standing on square legs supported by cross stretchers. The chairs are all solid and sturdy and have drop in seats all newly recovered in a matching light grey fabric. Substantial and sturdy chairs with lots of charm and character. The seats have been newly recovered over the existing upholstery which is in fair condition.

Wear and marks commensurate with age. Solid sturdy frames. Various old splits and mends to seat rails. The seats have been newly recovered over the existing upholstery which are in fair condition. One or two chairs have some old worm holes which have been filled. One chair with repair to the lower back foot.
