Product Description
An elegant set of 4 antique Victorian balloon back chairs in walnut with a simulated rosewood finish dating from circa 1870. They have crisply carved crests to the top rails and carved bars to the backs. They stand on slender cabriole legs with shaped and carved feet. There are some marks to the fabric in places. The upholstery is sound. There frames are very solid and sturdy and in good condition. With label to underneath: “WM JOHNSON & SON, CABBINET MAKERS, UPHOLSTERERS AND GENERAL FURNISHERS 82 & 84, FARGATE, SHEFFIELD”.
