A handsome small antique Victorian oak writing table or desk dating from circa 1850. In a well-figured honey coloured quarter sawn oak it features an over-sailing top, above a single frieze drawer with attractive brass drop handles. It stands square tapered legs united by a central cross stretcher. A well-proportioned piece, it is a good size, offering lots of work space but not too large. In original condition with good colour and patina, could be used as a desk or hall table.
