Product Description
A magnificent antique late Victorian mahogany tub chair mahogany dating from circa 1895. In a Sheraton revival design with stringing to the legs, arms and front seat rail along with paterae inlay to the legs and back rest. The back comprises 3 pierced and inlaid splats. The back sweeps round to the serpentine arm supports and it stands on tapered legs culminating in spade feet. It has been newly recovered in a light grey/mushroom fabric. A comfortable and well-proportioned elegant piece that would make a great bedroom dressing table chair or desk chair. Stamped with a serial number “950” to the inside leg.
